Proverbs 16:3
Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established
There you have it! If you are wondering how to have victory in every area of your life, this is it! Commit that situation or struggle to God, commit it to Him, if you cut or are addicted to porn or alcohol or drugs, don’t just pray for help commit that thing to Him! It isn’t yours anymore, it is His so from this day forward, you are free! Let Him establish your thoughts on how to deal every day. Take one day at a time and when you wake up and start to struggle remind yourself that you have committed it to God and ask Him to fulfill this promise and establish your thoughts! He will do it, He has given you that promise right here! Everytime it comes to mind stop yourself before you let your thoughts take over and say out loud – NO, I have committed this to God and I am NOT going to take it back today! One day at a time and before you know it you will wake up one day and be shocked at how many “one days” you have made it through! Claim this promise today and expect Him to give you victory.

Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Being kind in this scripture is directly connected with forgiving others. Is there anyone in your life that you need to forgive? I want to encourage you to not let another day go by without forgiving. Forgiving someone is one of the greatest ways to demonstrate kindness. I know it’s hard, but the verse reminds us that Christ forgave us. Think about it. Christ forgave us. I don’t know about you, but I have done some pretty crazy stuff. I am glad Christ forgave me. And when I think about His forgiveness, it reminds me I must forgive. So, let me ask again, is there someone you need to show kindness to? Is there someone you need to forgive? Then get in touch with that person and show kindness by offering your forgiveness to them.

1 Peter 5:10
The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ eternal – and great plans they are! – will have you put together and on your feet for good.
Don’t give up! Whatever you are going through isn’t going to last forever! Like I said before, one of my favorite phrases in the Bible is, “and it came to pass”, see, it didn’t come to stay, whatever you are having difficulty with today, came to pass! God will perform in you what He has planned if you set your sights on Him and make yourself available to Him to do just that! Try to not get caught up in what seems hopeless right now! Try to get ahold of the big picture! Satan is bombarding this generation with the thoughts and feelings of hopelessness and only you can fight back! It isn’t hopeless, no matter how bad it seems, God does love you and He cares enough to want to help you get set back on your feet again! Let Him “put you together” quit trying to do it by yourself! The sooner you give it ALL to Him the sooner He can work out His great plans for you!

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (MSG)
My favorite line in this verse is “don’t try to figure out everything on your own.” If we trust the Lord and we are willing to follow what he is asking us to do even if we don’t understand, we are going to do great things in life. Our understanding is so limited but God knows everything and he wants to share it with us. If you trust the Lord he’ll keep you on track throughout life. There are times in my own life where it makes no since whatsoever to what God is up to and it’s during those times I desire to trust myself and my limited knowledge. It’s during those times I miss up my life every time! If you are obedient and obey what God has for you he’ll keep you on track through life. It comes down to trust!

Psalm 56:8
You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book.
God cares so much about every ache and tear you have that He keeps track of them in His own book about you! How much are you hurting today? When you feel like you just can’t go on and no one cares you need to remember this verse! Believe it or not, I think we all go through times like that at some point in our life! It just seems like you couldn’t be more alone at those times and yet you couldn’t be more wrong! The God of the universe is right there keeping track and ready to heal that broken heart or life and to take revenge when revenge is due! It never goes unnoticed when you are hurting! The Bible says that if your hurt is caused by someone else – especially an adult against a child, that it would be better for a rock to be hung around their neck and for them to be thrown into the sea than for God to have to take revenge on that person! You might not see the punishment for what someone has done to you yet, but it will come! God loves you and He wants your heart and life to be whole so you can live a full and abundant life! Reach out to Him today and allow Him to love on you and heal your hurts! It hasn’t gone unnoticed!

Psalm 119:105
By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. (MSG)
Reading the Bible is so important to our life today and our future. It’s by the Words that are written in the Bible that I am able to see where I am going. If you are reading the Bible on a regular basis you’ll see a huge beam of light on your dark path so you’ll know what direction you should take. The Bible helps to guide us through life in area issue that we are facing. God wants you to have an abundant life and he wants to show you how to receive it. Continue to read the Bible on a regular basis. Believe what you read and be obedient to what God is asking you to do and you’ll find God’s perfect will for your life.

Isaiah 40:28-29
GOD doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. (MSG)
What an incredible verse to think about throughout the day. To sum of this verse, God is everything we could ever need and is on our side. I love the last part of this verse where it says he energizes those who get tired and gives fresh strength to the dropouts. I don’t know about you but there are times that life just sucks the energy out of me. I have to ask God to reenergize me so I can continue and you know what? He’s faithful to do exactly that! We serve a God who loves us and is never going to leave us. Today if you feel alone, remember that God is walking with you and ready to give you every thing you need in order to make it today. Hold your head high today!

1 Peter 4:4
Of course, your old friends don’t understand why you don’t join in with the old gang anymore. But you don’t have to give an account to them. (MSG)
After you decide to take your relationship serious with the Lord and to be obedient to the things he has for you, do not expect your friends to understand. They will be confused why you do not go out and party, have sex, drink etc… You cannot expect those who have not given their life to God to understand the conviction you now have in your life. The later part of this verse is key to what you should do. Remember, you do not have to give an account to them, its God that you have to account to uh? Do what is right, even if they make fun of you. You are making them feel very uncomfortable. After time you’ll be surprised at how many of those friends will pull you aside and ask you why you have taken such a huge stand. This will be your chance to share about your relationship with God and how it has changed your life. Take a tall stand this week ok?

Colossians 1:15-19
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
What a great description of who Jesus is! All of the fullness of God dwells in Him and everything holds together because He exists! Have you thought about just how amazing Jesus is? Have you really taken the time to think about just how big He is and what He has done and what He can do! This verse describes quite a bit and yet I am sure there is still so much we don’t realize because it just can’t be explained! So what is it you are struggling with? When you understand “who” Jesus is you will understand how and why you can have victory over that thing!! You might not be able to do it on your own, but with all of that power and authority in Christ, how could you possibly not have victory if you give it to Him?! We all have things that we need to give up and give to Him so we can claim victory today, we don’t have to wait for it we can claim it in His name today and trust that He will come through for us! Grab someone you can trust as an accountability partner when you give that thing to God so they can encourage you to leave it there when you start doubting of wanting to take it back. Claim victory, through the blood of Jesus, today! He already won the battle and the war!

2 Corinthians 6:14
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? (MSG)
If I had a dollar for each time I have been asked this question I would be writing this Bible study from Hawaii lol. There is no gray area in the answer I am about to give you. The answer is no. This verse is very clear about not being in partnership with those who reject God. There are a lot of good people who do not believe in God. However, your standards, goals and dreams will be different. That is why God wants you to date someone who has a strong faith. Remember a friend sharpens another? (Proverbs 27:17). You cannot do that if one of you does not have faith in God. You will always hit the wall when you are not obedient in what God is asking you to do. I have seen student’s for 25 years decide this verse was not for them. The pain that I watched in their lives broke my heart. In almost every case the Christian in the relationship dropped their standards and didn’t follow what God’s call on their life. Take this verse very serious because it can save you from a lot of hurt. This might mean you need to break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend in order to be obedient to what God says in this verse. You can trust him to bring you the right person!
